Where do the prices come from? (TCG Mid & TCGcsv)

TCG Mid is TCGplayer's Mid price — the median of the current Near Mint / Lightly Played listings for a card. It's the "typical asking price" figure (distinct from TCGplayer's Market price, which is an average of recent completed sales).

TCGplayer's own pricing API is closed to new apps, so the Mid figure here comes from TCGcsv — a free, community-run mirror of TCGplayer's public pricing — refreshed once a day (~20:00 UTC). Scheduled jobs rebuild the price table (daily, just after TCGcsv) and a slim card index (printings, legalities, image) from Scryfall's bulk data, and publish both to a CDN. The page loads those two files once, so Mid mode does zero per-card API calls and is near-instant. The banner above shows exactly when the data was built; every export carries that same timestamp.

Each card is matched to its TCGplayer product by Scryfall's tcgplayer_id (an exact ID match, not a name guess); the cheapest printing's Mid is used — comparing both the non-foil and foil Mid for every printing, so a cheaper foil — or a foil-only card — is still priced correctly rather than skipped (the chosen printing is marked Foil). Indicative prices, not checkout quotes. Cards with no Mid — or not legal in the selected Format — are flagged, never estimated. Anything missing from the daily index is flagged and can be resolved on demand with a one-click, throttled Scryfall lookup.

Quantities can lead (4 Card, 4x Card) or trail (Card x4), and MTGA 4 Card (SET) 123, MTGO SB: and a trailing mana cost (Lightning Bolt {R}) are all understood. A bare card name counts as one copy. The boards split on a line reading Sideboard however it is written — // Sideboard, --- Sideboard ---, Sideboard (15) — or on an SB: prefix, so paste a full export as-is; other // / # lines are ignored. The deck name is taken from a title on the first line (an unrecognized name, no quantity, blank line under it), MTGA's About / Name … block, or a comment above the list (// Boros Burn).

Anything here is added to the sideboard total. Leave empty if your decklist above already contains a Sideboard / // Sideboard / SB: section.

Sets main $25, sideboard $10, format Modern. Auto-unticks if you change any of them.

Totals update automatically as you edit.
